Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms govern your use of Deutsch Fox (the "Service").
Operator:
Inovo Works LTD
1a Jubilee Avenue
London Colney, St. Albans, England, AL2 1QG
United Kingdom
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
2. Description of Service
Deutsch Fox is an educational SaaS platform offering:
- Listening exercises
- Writing practice
- AI-generated feedback
We are not affiliated with the Goethe-Institut.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old (or have required parental consent).
You are responsible for account security.
4. Free Access
Free accounts include:
- 2 listening exercises
- 2 writing exercises
We may modify or discontinue free access and prevent abuse.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Premium subscribers receive unrestricted access, subject to reasonable use and any limits clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.
The available subscription periods, prices, taxes, and billing frequency are shown before you complete a purchase.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, paid subscriptions:
- Automatically renew for the same subscription period until cancelled
- Are charged at the beginning of each billing period
- Must be cancelled before the next renewal date to avoid the next charge
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the available subscription-management controls. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, cancellation does not result in a refund for the current billing period, and Premium access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
We may change subscription prices. If a price change affects a future renewal, we will provide notice where required by applicable law. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
Payments are processed by Polar or its payment partners. Their payment processing terms may also apply to the transaction.
6. Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refunds
6.1 General refund policy
Except where these Terms state otherwise or applicable law requires a refund, subscription payments are non-refundable after the applicable statutory withdrawal period has expired. We do not provide refunds solely because you changed your mind, stopped using the Service, forgot to cancel before renewal, or cancelled part-way through a billing period.
This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you may have if the Service is defective, unavailable in a legally significant way, or does not conform to the contract.
6.2 EU consumers: 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union and EU consumer law applies to your purchase, you generally have the right to withdraw from your initial subscription contract within 14 days from the date the contract is concluded, without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw before the 14-day period expires. You may do this by emailing contact@deutschfox.com or by sending another clear statement identifying your account and your decision to withdraw. You may also use the model withdrawal form at the end of these Terms, but use of that form is not required.
If we fail to provide information about the statutory right of withdrawal when required by law, the withdrawal period may be extended for the period required by applicable law.
6.3 Immediate access during the withdrawal period
Deutsch Fox is normally made available immediately after purchase.
Where you expressly request during checkout that the Service begin during the 14-day withdrawal period, we may begin providing Premium access immediately. If you then exercise your right of withdrawal before the 14-day period ends, we may, to the extent permitted by applicable law, deduct or charge an amount proportionate to the Service provided up to the time you informed us of your withdrawal.
Where applicable law requires an express request or specific information before such a proportionate amount may be charged, we will not charge that amount unless those requirements have been satisfied.
For clarity, immediate access to Deutsch Fox does not by itself mean that an EU consumer waives or loses the statutory right of withdrawal where the Service is legally treated as a digital service and applicable law preserves that right.
6.4 Refund following a valid EU withdrawal
When an EU consumer validly withdraws from the subscription contract:
- We may end Premium access when the withdrawal takes effect
- We will refund the amount legally due without undue delay and, where required by law, no later than 14 days after we are informed of the withdrawal
- The refund will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless another method is expressly agreed and does not cause the consumer to incur fees
- Any legally permitted proportionate amount for Service already supplied may be deducted from the refund
6.5 Automatic renewals and withdrawal rights
Cancelling a subscription and exercising a statutory right of withdrawal are different. Cancellation prevents future renewals; withdrawal concerns the contract itself and is available only where applicable law provides that right.
For EU consumers, an automatic renewal does not ordinarily create a new 14-day withdrawal period where the renewal mechanism, paid nature of the subscription, applicable subscription period, and price were clearly disclosed when the contract was concluded. A new or additional withdrawal right may apply where required by the law applicable to the consumer or where the contractual circumstances materially differ.
6.6 Service defects and lack of conformity
Consumers may have statutory remedies if Deutsch Fox does not conform to the contract or if we fail to supply the digital service as required by applicable law.
For EU consumers, depending on the circumstances and applicable national law, these remedies may include having the Service brought into conformity, receiving a proportionate price reduction, or terminating the contract. Where termination is legally justified, the consumer may be entitled to a refund for amounts paid for periods in which the Service was not in conformity and for any prepaid period remaining after termination.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits those mandatory remedies.
6.7 Refund processing
Approved refunds may be processed through Polar or the relevant payment provider. Processing times after we issue a refund may depend on the payment provider or financial institution, but this does not limit any statutory deadline that applies to us.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service unlawfully
- Upload illegal or harmful content
- Reverse-engineer or scrape
- Use bots or automation
- Exploit AI systems
- Create competing products
We may suspend violating accounts.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of submitted content.
You grant us a limited license to process and analyze it to provide feedback.

10. Intellectual Property
All platform content and software belong to Inovo Works LTD.
No copying or redistribution without permission.
11. Availability and Changes to the Service
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, except to the extent such a guarantee or remedy is required by applicable law.
We may modify features from time to time. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer right arising from a material modification of a digital service or a lack of conformity with the contract.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an "as available" basis.
Our liability is limited to the total fees paid in the previous 12 months, except where such a limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot be excluded
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Mandatory consumer rights, including statutory rights relating to digital services
- Any other non-excludable legal rights
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have a paid subscription, stopping use does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel the subscription to prevent future renewal charges.
Any statutory right to withdraw from or terminate a paid contract, and any related refund, is governed by Section 6 and applicable law.
Data handling follows our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
UK consumers may use UK courts.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, this choice of law does not remove any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under applicable law.
